Subject: Re: Headline on corn

West Kentucky
This year we just used straight headline. In the past we have used surfactants and crop oils with out any problem, but rep told us that he preferred we just left them out. As long as corn is at full tassel and the ears are silked, we have never had a problem. The one thing I don't understand is why people want to wait until after brown silk. In my opinion that has missed the opportunity to protect your corn, but they do it to reduce the risk of injury I guess. This year we had corn go from pollination to dent in under three weeks so there was much to protect.
