| Justin, If you are confident that the wheat has not jointed, then I am suggesting that your plant leaves and stems got dessicated by a hard freeze, perhaps in combination with either a susceptible variety or very lush plants.
Can to take some photos and email them to me? It would be helpful to understand better your situation and give more realistic advice as to what may happen.
