I have noticed how the ears are not dropping. Corn has been black layered for over a week, husks are opened up stalks are dry, but the ear is straight up. Is this how these new hybreds are or did the corn finish too fast and the weight isn't there? I'm in North central Iowa. Anybody else seeing this? Little worried about rain sitting in the ears.
