North Central Kansas
Just curious, what varieties of wheat are popular in the north. Here in northern kansas some varieties that are popular are
Art, Sante Fe, Overley, Fuller and PostRock. There are several others. 60 to 70 bushels/acre is considered an excellent
yield . Of course our heat tends to slow the yield. We usually buy about 10 percent certified or registered seed and then
keep seed from those fields. Keeps the seed fresh that way.
