Subject: last week on U.S. Farm Report

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan
Did I hear it right last week on the U.S. Farm Report that Southern Illinois experienced some severe damage to their pumpkins? I wasn't listening real closely, but I think that's what I heard. Seems like they also said that Southern Illinois produces about 75 percent of the pumpkins grown nationally. Is that true? That was a huge suprise to me.

We have 65 acres of pumpkins destined for processing into pie filler and such. This is our first year of growing pumpkins. Most of the pumpkins in our county look good. But their not "pie filler" yet.
