| FYI the field demos were cancelled at the Farm Progress show today due to wet conditions. (Ref also the strip till demo post on Machinery talk) Our guys there did have a customer that wanted to see what our Pluribus and 6000 units would do in the muddy shredded corn stalks we were given to work with. I thought it might be interesting to show a picture of conditions taken a few minutes ago. Note this bar has (3) Dawn 6000 units on the RH half as viewed from behind (the ASAE std). The Far RH end (#6) has a 6000 unit with the Trashwheels full up, the next unit (#5) has a 6000 with the Trashwheels down, #4 has a 6000 with a middle setting.   The LH 3 rows are Pluribus. I think the Pluribus should have been adjusted shallower, less row cleaner and/or less air pressure but given the conditions not bad, We don't usually see the lumps on the left. Also appears to be on a bit of a side slope. appears to be fairly heavy corn residue. It is WET. But done in the spring may not be too bad a place to plant in a couple hours or days. Again this is from this afternoon between rain storms. FWIW. Jim at Dawn
