SE IL and SW IN
Joel,
We do all of our own spraying.
Never use UAN for carrier because we always use generic roundup. We use AMS or replacer, and when spraying early we add citric acid.

Annual Ryegrass: 1.5 qt glyphosate for the first pass before ARG is to first joint. Sometimer add basis for residual in corn if it is cheap. Triazines make glyphosate ineffective.
Cereal Rye: in front of corn, we kill it before first joint with glyphosate and corvus down. In beans we wait until planting and kill with Extreme spiked with glyphosate.
Legumes: We add 2,4-D to our regular burn down at four days after planting.
In our operation we have little additional expenses since we would have to have a burn down even for "bare ground".
Our timing decisions follow the work M. Plumer has done here over the last several years.
Terry
