E.Central MN | If you want to sell and speculate on changes in the futures price, then options are one way to accomplish that. The problem I see is that options don't protect you from harvest time wide basis levels(cash price). I don't see how deferring payment til January will help anything, in some cases the elevator will charge you storage until the date they pay you. You are in effect giving an unsecured loan to that elevator, are you comfortable doing that??? | |
