 | I posted the response below, to a no-till wheat question asked this past weekend. While the response is angled towards NT wheat into cornstalks, many principals apply to NT into soybean ground also.

 One of your biggest challenges will be spreading soybean residue evenly with the combine, to achieve the stand uniformity levels required for high yields (Lots of NT fields end up with wildly different plant populations on account of poor residue distribution).
 
 Be sure to plant by seeds per square yard or seeds per acre, adjusting up or down based on planting date and seeding conditions (With wildly different seed sizes this fall, your not starting out very well if you plan to plant by bushels per acre !). Be sure to drill the wheat in narrow rows, (I believe Dan Brann and Mark Alley have that local data to back that up) and be sure to manage weeds and aphids in the fall.
