Iowa | With 4 more inches than when Gerald was there, I couldn't find the SWAMP--maybe the rain washed it away. Unbelievably good parking and grounds (I remember Alleman, Ia), and I drove right out at 4:15--took about two minutes.
They do a fantastic job of handling lots of people and vehicles and 4" of rain. 4" of rain in an already-saturated area, and cars weren't even close to being stuck. I applaud everyone who had ANYTHING to do with the planning, including the traffic flow people.
Gerald's experience certainly wasn't mine. I've got nothing to whine and complain about, except the line (on foot) to get in. I guess it was because lots of people got there anticipating an 8:00 opening, so when they opened at 10 the line was long. | |
