Subject: Are you sure?

I know lots of water is bad but I also hate going out and putting 100% of inputs in a crop just to see it burn up and not even get a bushel off of it. At least with PP you don't even buy the seed or run the planter or put down the preemerge or insecticide so it cuts deep both ways. I hope you get out of your extreme wet spell and back to growing crops. I farm in what seems like a desert, we have had areas with less than five inches of rain the past 10 months with nothing larger than a half inch at one time. I have been through several 4 inches a year and less times on some of the farm ground and when the grass never greens up once in 12 months you know it is dry. Weed control is really cheap when it don't rain. Good luck to all and be careful this harvest.
