| I bought a new Polaris Ranger 400 back in May. At about 45 hours we burnt a belt up. Was probably our fault...we ran in high range when we probably should have been running more in Low range. The belt shredded......we cleaned out the pieces we saw and put on a new belt....ran about 15-20 hours and started surging or jumping when we started to go. Took it to polaris dealer and they said the clutch had to be taken apart and cleaned and they had to replace the cluth buttons and a bushing that was gaulded up. They blamed all this on not running in low range and then the belt shredding....I can understand this to a point....The problem is, after we got it back we have been trying to run in proper range(low/high)., however, after about 7-10 hours use it is having same type problems as before.... Are these belt type systems know for having lots of problems or is this new size ranger having issues???? Any thoughts???? | |
