There is a very good product called "Freeze 12". I know you can add Freeze 12 to R12, and it works real good. I use it in my JD 8760 (that I refuse to convert to R-134a). I believe that R-12/Freeze 12 works better (gets colder) than R-134a. You do have to have the 'license' to purchase Freeze 12, but it does not cost all that much..seems like it was about 1.25 x the cost of R-134a.
