Casey Illinois
I have a Spicer 6+1 in my 4700, I do like it most of the time. I bought it used, was a delivery type truck, at 100,000 had to totally rebuild it. Out in the field it is hard to shift from LL to 1st and then 2nd. On hard ground it works fine, maybe engine is not big enough in softer ground. Mechanic that worked on it, said never by a spicer, to hard to work on. All the synchronizers were out, bearing were shot. Seems to be fine now, like not having a 2 speed, pretty simple to operate
