Central KS | I finished picking my first corn crop last nite. I got done around 10, and dad had been disking behind me. I took his place and got done with disk just in time for a nice soaking rain. Corn was overall kind of disappointing. I was hoping to average in the upper 80's-low 90's. Looking more like probably 70 bu average. Learned many valuable things for next year. Corn is a fun crop to watch grow. I will do less no-till next year. I will also have to do a better job controlling weeds.
