Last I picked, I got .09 per lb. of lint. It's been .03 lb for seed cotton as long as I can remember "here", but with the higher turnout now, I think what little is custom picked around this area is mostly by lint lbs. That said, there is a gin pretty close to me that made deals with guys to bring pickers in this fall for $55 per acre just to get the cotton to gin. You can't own and run a picker for that. I know of at least one farmer that took them up and is leaving his own picker in the shed.
