Subject: Bagging grass clippings (or not)

South-central Nebraska
I'm in the process of reseeding my yard to a Fescue blend that resists drought and disease much better than my getting old bluegrass. I water my yard cause I like it thick and green but wonder if catching the clippings is better for the yard or not. I've noticed most of the new zero turn mowers do not have bagging systems on them. I was told most people don't like to mess with clippings and the faster mower blade speed allows for better dispersal. I have the ability to do both but don't know which is better. I am looking to trade mowers and I could save a ton of money going without a bagging system but still have leaves and other yard trash do contend with.

What are some better management practices of fescue mixes? Will I have to run a dethatcher more often?
