NE MO & W IL | Ed, don't doubt it's rare in Ohio, but they are 3rd overall. Places like eastern Nebraska have a huge following which makes up for non existence in places like Ohio. In my corner of the world, the Syngenta brands are making a come back. NE Missouri has somewhere around 10-12% corn and 15%soybean market share according to the local rep based on sales vs. acres. With Agrisure Viptera, Syngenta will see some major growth in MO. I was a plot cooperator for the Agrisure Viptera trait and there were 100% Dekalb and Pioneer guys ready to commit a large portion of there acres after they saw the trait working in the field. Syngenta has been behind the last several years and now has a one up on the competition. Will be interesting to see what happens as they rely on the sales force to push the technology and don't do much advertising.
