Central Kansas | That "booming" you heard just started east of town about 4 miles. It built up from there and by the time it got to my place(another 4 miles), lightening and thunder was really carrying on, then it started to rain and that was a wind blown rain and all I caught in the gauge was 22 clicks and then shortly after that, the sun was shining. Looked at the Beans that have been without rain for 5 weeks and they looked like they appreciated the drink but with the heat and winds this afternoon, suppose that the 22 hundredths has about evaporated. Maybe this will tied them over till the next rain. | |
