Subject: Wheat and rye headed out here. ???

West Texas
Thanks Phil.

Most of our harvest wheat fields are late enough I think we escaped damage on them. However. We do have 2 fields that have 25% heads showing when driving down the turn row.

Also have two 60 acre plots of seed block rye that has heads showing.

Temperature dipped below freezing around 11 pm last night and now at 11 am it's 28 after a low of 26. Had some sleet/snow too. Most of the harvest wheat/rye is being irrigated by pivots.

How will it be affected? I don't know.

If hurt bad can it still be used as hay? We were about to lay down 2 circles that are headed out completely for hay on Tuesday.
