0.6" in the gage when I got here in W WI (between LaCrosse & Madison) last night. 5.8" total in August so far which is very unusual. This is on top of 9.2" in July and 8.8" in June, 5.3" in May. Just about perfect for corn. A few hot days with high humidity but not bad compared to the heat you folks in the south have had.
While my corn looks great, pastures look great, (don't raise beans) however this is a very difficult year, again, for the folks trying to bale decent hay. The growth is out there but you can not get a stretch where you can get it dry and baled before it rains again. My hay supplier is about pulling his hair out. All in all however very thankful for the rain. Quite a change from last year where it was very dry after July 4th until into September.
