These are black oil sunflowers, the kind you get at the hardware store. I broadcast a 50 lb bag in 4 disced acres for the birds. They grew so quickly the outgrew any weeds. Birds, deer and turkeys  came from 2 townships to eat them all before October. Could not find a one that winter. It was quite a sight. The heads follow the sun throughout the day.
