What grains are you drying at 40%? Unless I'm missing something here it would seem there would be a lot of damage to the grain, (during combining), at that moisture. Also, I assume the 450 hp is a rating of heat. Any idea what that would convert to BTU's? Nice clean set up. Joe.
Oats, barley and wheat were done around 40% moisture "good old days". Today....cost of drying something that have 40% water in it is too high. We would just leave crop out and hope for the best. You wouldn't ever get any food grade grain out of that wet stuff anyway.
450hp is rating of heat. Burner has two nozzles, so it can adjust temperature when outside temp chances. Nozzless are 2,5 and 4,5 gal/h so it will burn 7 gal/h.
