Central Missouri | I don't know when or how this will play-out. I do expect the fed to eventually force banks to buy treasuries though. To correct the problems the debt has to eventually be washed. Japan has gone down this road now for years w/out major consequences but their population has bought up all of the bonds. Their population is now entering a period of net negative savings so I suspect they are gonna meet their maker in the next few years.
What I could see happening though is the same thing that happened to ag in the 80's and that is that asset prices decrease dramatically while costs go up along with a dramatically reduced net value of sales. This though could happen economy wide for the U.S. with the exception of a couple of industries one being precious metal mining and the other being guns and ammo. If we are extremely lucky grain prices will stay up and you will be able to add grainn farming to that list. A major drougth would be devastating to consumers but not to grain farmers if you buy enough crop insurance.
That is unless their is an embargo or sucession of exports to keep domestic food prices in check.
