The electronic engines will drink 10-20% more fuel per acre than the mechanical fuel pump ones, although they do have an extra HP boost when unloading on the go.

Personally, I would be inclined to buy one of the early 2377s with a mechanical pump, and turn it up to the HP of an 88.

The 88s came standard with the hopper extensions, which wasn't standard on the 77s. You could easily add that to a 77 that doesn't have it.
