Yes they are. Maybe with these update frame kits the frame will be as strong as a 1083 frame. We had an outside tip get buggered some after a end got ripped off and I know a 1083 wouldn't have done that... Does a great job cutting!! Glad they went back to the 1083 design not the new holland...jd copied 2208
