Wife wanted to get away fro a few days & see the countryside. She doesn't like interstates, can't see enough, so we drove 1630+ miles with less than 300 on interstates. We came down thru WI on 69 which becomes 26 in IL. South thru Freeport to to 64 south of Forreston ( not Morristown) to 64. East on 64 to I-39, then south to52. East on 52 to 47. South on 47 thru Dwight to 2 at Forrest4. East on 24 to Rt 1 at Watseka and then south to Danville.

Looked like some isolated flooding at Freeport along 26. 2-3 fields that looked to be pretty much flooded out. Corn had eared but was chocolate brown & going down. Corn was appeared to be stressed from lack of moisture from Dwight down to just south of Hoopeston. I heard this area had only 1/2 " of rain in July. Sure showed it.
