| I agree with Rank, they can take quite a bit of moisture in my experience. I've been fine with 25-30% moisture straw before. Now this is dried down straw, here on our irrigated ground there is alwayse some green grass that comes late, as well as some green straw. Too much of that could lead to burning at some point.
In my experience the limiting factor will be what your baler will bale. Just about every year somebody around here bales straw a little too wet, and the next morning a percentage of their bales have burst open, makes for a fantastic mess. | |
