Southeast Wisconsin | I just planted 130 acres of annual ryegrass and radishes together, not in alternating rows. Planted 18 lbs total, 80% ryegrass 20% radish. Just planted a week and a half ago.
I wanted the annual ryegrass for a deep rooting (40" plus) and the radish to break up the top 8" or so. Ryegrass will help to control the weeds also.
Seed came from Bio-till which is a division of Saddle Butte Ag. http://saddlebutte.com/CoverCrops.aspx | |
