we were going to plant about an acre of radishes on 30" rows this afternoon with our 4 row Buffalo planter using new 60 cell milo plates but discovered that we had left the meters back at the university (15 miles away :-<).

we are going to start with the chain on the 14 for the driver and the 28 for the driven... according to our planter manual this combination should plant 1.5 lbs of milo seed per acre (the lowest rate in the table).

If it doesn't rain too much tonight we will try again tomorrow.

I plan to carefully weigh the seed before and after planting a round or two... and make adjustments if necessary.

I will share some #s after we get this field planted.

BTW We are planning to try throwing up a ridge around some of these radishes.
