| Interesting idea on locking the wheels straight. Would need to be something easy to undo so you never lost any time when switching bags. On the 4440 we leave the side door open on the right side and the steering wheel all the way down so that you don't have to get in and out of the tractor. Most guys can reach to steer and not have to run around the far side of the tractor to start it up ect. (we unload on the right side of the bagger so you don't have to run around the truck all day long) Heard of a guy who mounted a pulley on the door frame and ran a rope from the PTO down to the side window as well so he didn't have to climb up to start the PTO. When tractor is shut off switch automatically disengages PTO. In SW Saskatchewan, Canada an open air power unit would be a pretty hard sell to the crew for unloading. Most of our stuff is getting unloaded in pretty cold temps. | |
