With A&I, there are some gems, and then there are duds. You simply have to sort them out. If you are time critical, I'd go with OEM. If you have a little sleeve, go with A&I.

Motor overhaul kits for our old Deeres - 10/20/30 series - are all OEM quality parts, but instead of all being from one supplier, they will put a kit together as a "least cost ration". Sleeves and pistons could be X, bearing kits will be Y, and seals etc be Z. They will also supply some kits that are no longer available through Mother Deere - we had a 3010 that was .010 undersized on the crank. KIt available through A&I, but not Deere - IIRC.

Windshield Glass on CH55 CAT - with freight, close to $750 from the Cathouse, $350 from the local Ford store (same cab as Genesis), and a little over $200 - FOB the A&I warehouse here in SWOnt. The A&I glass was Made in Turkey, but fit fine, and is a lot clearer than the one that got some weld spatter on it ) Oh $h__!

Got the exhaust elbow for a 4440 that runs from the turbo to the muffler - not even close - took it back for a full refund and got an OEM.

Got an unloading auger tube for a neighbor's JD4420 combine (he had an "Oh $h--" moment). I thingk that the tube is NLA from Deere, but was in stock at the A&I warehouse. It wasn't a perfect knockoff as it didn't fit like the original, but it seals up well enough to auger wheat, and folds back into place ...fairly well.

Pick Your Poison - Cheap and Probably Fit, or Spendy Originals.

Luke
