| From what I understand, the need to wire directly from the battery stems from the need for a "clean" power source and having enough power. Sometimes powering from the Nav II or even the power ports in the cab can cause reliability issues, especially to an FM-1000 (I realize you're not talking about an FM-1000, but I'm talking about the general concept as it may relate to your situation). I was told this by Trimble support, YMMV. | |
