Maybe 25-50 hp will not hurt, but double the hp on that JD engine and you are asking for trouble, I never run short of power on my L3, run 24ft straight head and she will just eat, 4.5-6mph depending on the crop. Last year we had wheat run 70 bushels and ran about 4.5 mph did a very good job, ran lots of straw through the machine as we bale it for livestock feed and beding, and still did a good job of seperating without going over the sieves.
