Need power and momentum in some cases. If you can't maintain enough pto speed some grasses wrap on the turtles. Also need some forward speed to keep stuff flowing threw conditioning rolls. Like other poster stated if it has a bunch of old undergrowth you will have problem's regardless but the disk mower would be more forgiving.
