The 4 hole that I put in was 1997 looks the same today as then . It has been trouble free . Changed one ball got a hole in it gave me one free. I will let you know in the next 15 years. I think if plastic is made of quality it is like a lot of things cheap made = junk . This particular waterer is high quality do not know now.
