Thanks for doing the math Lance, I guess I was too lazy to do it my self.
So I'm losing 1.5bu having the custom applicator do it(120'boom) already, so I would give up an additional 1.5bu/acre x $6bu. =$9/acre doing it myself. 3 custom trips at $6.50/acre = $19.50/acre - $9(extra loss)= $10.50/acre savings - fuel, time and machine costs.
