Fruita CO | I know where there's a damper off a 4450 that was perfectly OK at 8K, changed out when the engine was done, & one off a 4650 that totally failed at about 6K-so, I guess I'd say look it over good, if it's good run it a while...it's not all that hard to change, & the 42 will not be as hard on it as the bigger engines...
And yes, definitely do the water pump while it's out...
