Northern Idaho | We have planted winter wheat into sod that was in CRP for ten years several different years now, we have tried multiple methods and tilling it up actually is what we prefer now...the yield increase more than pays for the diesel bill. Our best success was spraying out in the late spring, moldboard plowing then disking twice and harrowing. The wheat there was just as good or better than our traditional winter wheat planted in rotation. | |
