| We had record rain in June and now the ground has wide cracks and the disease levels have gone wild within about a four day period. Ten days ago I would have said maybe the best corn ever for me - I would rate it fair at this point. N loss and shallow roots are becoming very obvious now. Local Crop Production had 4,500 acres of fungicide to do last Monday, it had doubled by Wed and i am sure the phone is still ringing this morning. Most of this is with people that have never done it before. My point is that conditions can change quickly and no one can really get a handle on this crop. | |
