| If you're on the renting out side you want to look at what the extra hours will cost you. If you need a tractor for just a few hours in a short period of time most dealers will rent a tractor for less than what it's actual value is because most of the time anything they get from it is profit. Example if they have a 200 hp tractor with 2000 hours there it's worth $$. If they rent it to you and you put 100 hours on it, it's probably still worth the same $$.
If you look at construction equipment the daily and weekly rental is about a third more than a monthly rental is so $45 for a short term is probably comparable to $30 over a long term rent. | |
