Subject: Cultivation

Nevada, Iowa
This may be a little on the bizarre side but do any of you still cultivate soybeans? I would be interested in talking to you about it or seeing the results of research done regarding row cultivation in soys. I have been doing a little mind wandering concerning this topic and was curious if yield loss or gain could be directly attributed to this practice. We were anxious to give it up when RR soys came out but we also saw some inexplicable yield loss about that same time. That yield drag has slowly evaporated but we are not above the trend line that we saw before the advent of RR beans.

BTW, I have never listened to or read about Kip Cullers practices. What is he doing to raise yields? Does it involve cultivation? Just curious. Thoughts please.........
