| In Iowa you have to maintain the right half of the fence. Unless the pasture guy has put up a hot wire. Then under the law it says that the cow guy has volentarly assumed responsabilty. It also says that the cow owner has to keep them in. And if they get out more then 3 times in 12 months then the cow owner is responseable. So every time they get out call the law the sherif calls the owner and it gets documented. You then turn it into your ins and they go after the cow guy. I have no time for these a$$holes that put their cows on grass the last week of march run a pair per acre. Then expect me to fix their fence when the cows are out of feed. While they spend the day at Cattlemans Assn meetings in Ames. This is what my lawer said I could do. | |
