Subject: Re: Cobra vs. Cadet

What rate of WeatherMax & Cobra did the rep recomend? Last week I sprayed some gylsophate (24 oz = reg rate) plus 6 oz Cobra , & 4oz generic Selectin a field of beans that had waterhemp, velvetleaf, pig weed, & some patches of GRWs that were taller than the beans. The Cobra did burn back the beans compared to where I was running just the gylsophate at 32oz and the Select. Weeds in the part of the field that got just the gylsophate are turning yellow, weeds where I had the gylsophate / cobra were turning brown in 2 days. Beans with out the cobra have filled in the rows (20"), with the cobra have yet to fill in & appear to be several inches shorter. Both mixes had Alliance liquid ams at 1 gal/ 100 gal water & 1 qt/100 Suberb oil

I might add another reason I added the Cobra was to check for potential of a yield increase. UI in Champaign, IL has done some research using Cobra as a growth regulator and control of wjite mold and was wanting to do some of our own checks.

I've never used Cadet so can't make any comments on it.
