West Union, IOWA FLOLO Farm 52175 | I bought an old JD 1600 chiesel plow and put the shanks on in place of the old DMI ones the bar came with....Love them for sidedressing as they don't have any sideplay. I got the points from CFC and welded double tubes on which help lower the pressure to aid in sealing.
Then I found some QualtyPlus closers..... I dropped the coulters off early on and it seemed to help seal.
Should be no problem setting up the 18row given you find a 90ft toolbar.....if you're not table top flat I'd look for some way of flexing the bar or putting the openers on a parallel link....
I run 2 30ft skip row bars and it'd be hard to convince me 30's would be better |
