NC Iowa | my experience has been there is no subsitute for ams. tried spray booster - water conditioner, and also ns. not happy with results. i have very hard water, so that makes a difference too. tried the low drift nozzels, and not happy with them either. went back to the xr8003 flat fan. spray at 6-8mph @12gpa. i think the pressure goes from 30-45. usually try to keep pressure in 35-40 range. makes small enough droplets to give good coverage.
i don't spray in a high wind, but dosn't bother me to see some mist in the air. just have to watch the borders. use 17#ams/100 gal, and 1qt/100gal of nis. | |
