Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | When I shot the momma skunk in the storage barn, I had hoped that her young were too small to survive without mothers milk, but guess I was wrong.
While feeding the cats Saturday, we noticed a gaggle of skunklets milling around beside and under a shipping container we use for storage.
They were large enough to eat dry cat food and survive on their own.
We set a live trap beside the container baited with cat food Saturday and caught one skunklet almost immediatly, but no more that day.
This morning there were 3 more pretty little stinkers in the trap and another hanging around outside. We shot the one outside and pulled the trap away then shot the three in the trap.
Brother is not sure if he saw 5 or 6 skunklets, so this deal may not be over yet.
