Especially on the later planted wheat, that is a bit thin, another rain event and the weeds will take some of these fields. Even the thicker stands of wheat, you can see the grass and weeds down below. I have found out on my farms, that the wheat I expected to be "good" is turning out to be "good", the wheat I expected to be "poor", is definitely "poor". The poorer wheat is the later planted I had following soybean harvest(planted the first week in November) Better wheat was planted the first two weeks of October. |
