N/E Iowa
Here in N/E iowa we have the same problem! raining every 3 to 5 hours, can't get enough of a dry spell to get going. weeds are knee high (rags), and the grass is completely shading the bean rows!! There is alot of corn that needs to be sprayed, some haven't been spryaed for the first time yet...YIKES is all i have to say. I have about half of are 2nd pass complete on are corn, and no beans sprayed yet. too muddy, been getting 1/2 to 3/4 of rain every two to three days, for the pass week. Bad news most of this corn including mine is shading the row if not completly shaded. Co-op said they are backed up for a soild week on farmers without sprayers!! Corn looks good up here, beans are 4 to 5 inches tall, and the weeds are even taller!! there are farmers still waiting on there first cutting of hay, we have are 2nd cutting about a week off. everything is looking good to fair......................if I could spray for three days!! rain 4 out of the next 5 days (40%) chance. Doesn't look good, for mowing, or getting anything sprayed. Looks like the drops may be put on the sprayer?
