Macon, IL | I am pretty small farm so generally try to wait for good days. I have had two instances where I was forced into somethign less than optimal.
First time was a flat tire on spary tractor-and I had to leave town for day job for a a week-so by the time I got tire fixed it was 7:00 before I started spraying and I finished about 9:00pm. I was worried it wouldn't work, and after first week there was a noticable difference-the stuff sprayed in afternoon looked to kill much quicker-but 2 weeks later you couldn't tell which was sprayed mid afternoon and which was sprayed at night.
The other time it was cloudy, and got cold for about a week after a burndown spray. After 7 days you could hardly tell it had been sprayed. But like the other time after 15 or 16 days it was fine.
Long winded way of saying from what I have seen the kill is just slower when sprayed in poorer conditions. I may have gotten lucky with dew or whatever and am not saying it will always work-just what I have seen. | |
